ALL ABOUT PETS

Who doesn’t love pets? Those cute creatures never let us divert our attention. Sometimes, man gets so attached to a pet that he almost starts treating him like his own child. It is a true bond of love. Here are few tips for someone who has recently decided to buy a pet!

Firstly, I believe a person must choose a pet that would suit his living atmosphere and circumstances. Not every animal can survive in every place. It cannot be denied that animals are usually happy and more comfortable only in a few spaces. So a person must choose wisely as to which pet would suit his living style. Once you’ve chosen the pet you want, pick for a name. It is a psychologically proven fact that pets love to be called by names and names that their owners give them. This is how pets gain a sense of attachment to the owner.

Create a safe place for your pet! Remove any kinds of sharp or harmful objects from its vicinity. Create a small comfortable home for it with all that he needs! A cosy place, a pair of nice clothes, the right type and quantity of food etc. This will make the pet feel more at home and secure.

Take your pet to a trusted vet when it’s sick and for regular checkups too. Just like we humans fall sick, the poor pets can too! Always remember to take your pet to the vet for checkups and give it the extra care when it’s sick, because that is exactly what pets also give us.

Now some general tips for you would be always give your pet a nice shower, groom your pets by brushing or trimming hair off, use dental products to keep teeth and beaks clean, buy cute toys to keep it happy, and introduce your pets to new people slowly. All in all, pamper your pets and train them to be decent and efficient ones.

MY FAVORITE POEM

I know everyone loves reading poems! Today I speak of one such poem that melted my heart and has stayed with me for the longest time. The poem is MIRROR written by Silvia Plath. A wonderful poem that makes us reflect on our lives! I have mentioned the entire poem first for you guys to read it if you haven’t already and then I describe exactly what it makes me feel 🙂

POEM-:

I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions.

Whatever I see I swallow immediately

Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike.

I am not cruel, only truthful,

The eye of a little god, four-cornered.

Most of the time I meditate on the opposite wall.

It is pink, with speckles. I have looked at it so long

I think it is part of my heart. But it flickers.

Faces and darkness separate us over and over.

Now I am a lake. A woman bends over me,

Searching my reaches for what she really is.

Then she turns to those liars, the candles or the moon.

I see her back, and reflect it faithfully.

She rewards me with tears and an agitation of hands.

I am important to her. She comes and goes.

Each morning it is her face that replaces the darkness.

In me she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman

Rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish.

How beautifully the mirror addresses the audience saying that it is exact, it does not hide anything. It is brutally honest and consumes whatever it sees. It tries to tell us that even though we might detest our own appearance, it isn’t the mirror’s fault. The mirror is only trying to be truthful and non judgemental. It calls itself “eye of the god”. It holds darkness responsible for separation, alas! Where is reflection in the dark?

In the second stanza the mirror takes the form of a lake. Where in a women is searching for who she really is by deeply looking at her reflection in the water. The mirror calls the candles and the moon “liars” as their bright light makes the women look prettier than she actually is. The mirror condemns them for their dishonesty. But the women rewards the mirror’s honesty with tears. The women weeps in pain to see her unsatisfying but yet truthful appearance! But the mirror does realize that it has an important part to play in the woman’s life, because the woman returns each day with a burning light of hope despite being unsatisfied. The bright light of the women’s face brings light in the dark, says the mirror.

The mirror remarks, so philosophically, that so many ages have passed like this! And in so many years, the young girl who once used to search for her pretty face has now grown old and remarks by calling it a “terrible fish”!

Such a beautiful philosophical poem that preaches the fact that beauty fades away after time but personality stays forever. It is not the physical appearance that matters but the values we carry from within our heart. This poem will surely always remain special for me!

LIFE AFTER THE STORMING OF APPS

Does anyone remember how life used to be before there was anything like an “app store” in our life. Everything used to be more manual and people knew the meaning of independence! But today, apps form the deep crux of our lives and I feel that we are deeply influenced by it.

I truly believe that apps have made our lives much easier in terms of our efforts but at the same time they have also made us forget the actual importance of working ourselves. You want to have good food, there’s no need to cook, we have SWIGGY, ZOMATO! We wish to buy vegetables, no need of physically going to a market, BIG BASKET! These are just two familiar ones that I have named but there are so many more that include such services. With the evolution of these apps, people have stopped cooking at home, that definitely affects our health is so many severe ways. Home cooked food is always healthier than the outside oily greasy food that does no good.

Even shopping happens online! People don’t go to the stores anymore to buy what they like! Where is the fresh air now? It has made us much more lazier than ever! Everything is just a click away. Also, another con that I have frequently observed is that sometimes, some apps have a software problem and they affect the entire status of our device. But how would the users know?

I would like to end this by saying we should not let apps affect our lives this deeply. It is good to rely on them for a few tiny things, but over dependence on them should be strictly avoided! Stay healthy, stay organic!

WHAT I WANT TO BECOME

So today I want to tell you what I really want to become! My dream, goal and aspiration is to become an IAS officer. I know it’s long term thinking and I know it’s not easy. But everything about that fascinates me so much that I just cannot stop thinking about it. It is one such job that teaches us how to live in authority and also how to manage that authority. It teaches us utter discipline and beautiful code of conduct and body language. I had a former IAS come up to me and tell me, that while he was in an interview, he was judged for how dignifiedly he would lift the cup of tea and drink it. Everything about it is supposed to be elegant and classy. A person who wishes to get into civils, he/she must have vast knowledge on every subject. IAS officers are said to be all rounders.

It is just everything about this profession that fascinates me! I might or might not become one, but keeping that aside, such a profession that builds someone’s character and personality and gives us the royal status for what we have done is rare to come by!

DOES THE COSMETIC INDUSTRY GIVE CONFIDENCE TO WOMEN?

These days it’s so rare to see a women with no makeup on! Or even see an actress who probably has not gone through the “surgery” part to make themselves look better. The cosmetic industry has created such an important place for itself in today’s century. But the main point of today’s writing is.. is it really worth it ?

I personally believe, every woman is beautiful, some from the outside, some from the inside and some from both! Why is physical appearance such a big thing today that women find the need to go through the painful surgeries.. and change their original appearance. I do understand that some people might dislike their appearance. But, going through surgeries is one heinous and unbearable thing according to me! Some get their nose, eyes, and even the entire face operated! And I have witnessed so many cases where the surgery has gone wrong and not only led to ruining of the appearance but also other skin and bone problems in the body! This scares me! The desire for beauty makes us do irrational things, I feel.

On the other hand, using makeup is totally justifiable. I don’t think makeup is in anyway harmful.. or destructive! It is just to make us feel more beautiful and confident and is yet harmless. Lipsticks, eyeshadow, concealer, all that a women has in her makeup pouch is absolutely non harmful and non toxic. I think a women must use this way to feel more beautiful that those painful surgeries.

But having said that, I truly believe every woman must be comfortable in her own skin. Everyone has a beautiful side to them. Beauty of the heart is beauty of everything and we must always remember “beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder” and family, peer love should be our source of confidence and not the cosmetic industry!

COMMUNICATION SKILLS FOR SHY PEOPLE

Heyyy!. Today I speak on a somewhat easy breezy topic, but quite important for personality development. I myself was a very shy person while growing up and I totally understand how difficult it is to talk to new people!

Firstly, be confident about yourself. Many people don’t like to speak up because of the fear of damaging their reputation or because of what might people might think about them. I mean, it’s human psychology for us to want others to like us. But always remember, no matter what, nobody but you has the right to judge your personality. If you just put your thoughts into words and speak confidently, you might receive a few negatives, but the positives will surely be more. Always carry the poise and dignity and make it a point to look into the eyes of the person that you are speaking to. Don’t keep moving, stand still and maintain poise! I know it’s tough for shy people to talk a lot, but you don’t really need to speak, just let the other person know that you have lent your ear and be pragmatic enough to give a little advice or just a tiny reply while in a conversation!

And most importantly, always believe yourself. Increase your circle, according to psychology, for most shy people, 3 people means a party. Try to understand newer people.. there’s so much to explore in this world. And don’t worry about others judging you, people will think what they have to.. but ultimately what matters is how much you believe in yourself! ♥️

WHAT IS BLOGGING?

I know I’m giving a late answer to an early question! Sorry about that. There are so many conceptions about blogging. But nobody really seems to know the right and exact meaning of it. So here is my brief attempt to try and answer it.

It is just a public domain that allows the whole world to see what a person is writing or posting about. The entries in a blog usually come from a single account and people have total access to read it, just like you guys have to my account 🙂 the tools make it extremely easy for an author to keep editing and posting new materials to his timeline as and when he wishes like! It is just a new and a broad way of putting up our feelings and emotions in a surreal way.. and make it relatable to our audience. Although, it’s a must to post everyday!

I hope this helped all those aspiring bloggers out there to give it a shot and make their own account! Blogger.com is a wonderful website to do so! Kudos to all bloggers and the wonderful audience ♥️

SHOULD EDUCATION BE FREE FOR EVERYONE?

I think this is one question that deserves to be answered! As we all know the sixth fundamental right of our constitution is the cultural and educational right. But which country is really following this? I think we all must take a moment and at least appreciate countries like Canada that have made healthcare free. People in those countries don’t really need to worry about health insurance. But what about education?

I recently happened to go to a school with one of my cousin, for her 11th and 12th admission! And I was astonished with their price. They ask for 4 lambs per annum. Which makes it 8 lakhs just to finish intermediate! Gone are those days when people were sent to schools or colleges without the parents feeling a financial burden. Also, apart from the fees, they charge for so much extra in the form of “extracurricular” activities that don’t really seem to exist! Now we know why there are so many minor girls married off before the age of 18. Why? Because the family can not afford to make them study. Of course there are renovations today for the poor. But these prices are almost beyond the reach of even the middle class people. Speaking of fundamental right, a right that is so costly cannot be really considered a right. Coming back to my question, YES EDUCATION MUST BE FREE FOR EVERYONE.

A facility or a comfort in life is something someone would want to buy, but a right, that too a fundamental one that’s made for the entire country must be free. I rest my case here. What do you think?

HOW DO MOVIES INFLUENCE OUR LIVES?

Welcome to my new blog. A new fresh topic to start the day with. All the movie lovers out there raise your hand! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Movies are a crucial part of all our lives, well most of our lives. Some make us cry, some make us laugh and some make us angry.

I recently had a friend come up to me and express his utter anger on the band ending of some movie. And he kept venting about it the whole time haha. That’s when this topic struck me. I just could not believe how he could let his mood be affected by a 2-hour projection. Guess that’s what it does to all of us. And then at another point of time, one of my acquaintance was crying over the fact that she could not watch the movie of her favorite star on the first day. Where has this world come to?

There are so many people who cry watching films and then remain disturbed by it for days to come. And then some others who just keep watching the same movie time and again in theatres. I do not say watching movies is a bad thing, but developing an addiction to it or letting it affect us beyond an extent is wrong. I myself have been going to movies since the last one month but this does not mean that not going there would disturb me to death or that any one particular movie will haunt me for days! I think that’s where we need to draw the line.

Taking inspiration from movies is an amazing reference. But also letting it affect our lives so much isn’t right. Just learn to live in the moment. After it’s done, it’s done. Nothing lasts forever. So all you people out there, watch movies with a nice bucket of buttery popcorn and all your friends and family but say no to addiction and unnecessary influence.

STUDENTS COMMITTING SUICIDES?

Today I speak on a rather deep and intense topic. All you audience out there, put a hand on your heart and tell me, is academic excellence everything in life? Is that all that determines a student’s ability?

I’m sure all of you must have heard of the news about the intermediate second year results. That came out just a few days back. This almost came like a shocker for all the students. Even the state toppers of the previous year failed. The students seem to be very angry and have expressed their dissatisfaction on a public platform with the way the math papers have been corrected. But keeping all this to the side, the only thing that just shook me was the fact that a student, who shall remain unnamed had committed suicide just because he was astonished and taken aback with his scores. Is education exerting an unnecessary and harmful influence on the young minds?

Think of the agony of the those parents who eyes were filled with hopes for their children. How painful would it be. It’s good to aim high. But it’s not always good to want to achieve only the sky. One must be happy enough with the ceiling too. How can a student forget the value of life, the value of the love of his parents and friends. I find this so disturbing and unacceptable. May their souls Rest In Peace and may we never have to hear such a news ever again!

Take care. Much love♥️
